It's sadly that Geant4 cannot enter Debian due to license issue[1]. There was once another issue that Geant4 links against CLHEP, a HEP library never properly licensed. Since version 2.1.0.0, however, CLHEP is released under GPL-3/LGPL-3, so there is only one license issue now. I'd try to package the following programs, CLHEP HepMC Pythia8, and its plugin VINCIA Herwig++ LoopTools FastJet, SISCone ThePEG LHAPDF Rivet Serveral of them provide ROOT plugin, so maybe I'd first try to get ROOT back to Debian.
