As these days, Well, there has been a somewhat coordinated effort a couple of years ago, with a webapp tracking the state of every Debian package wrt IPv6 support. I don't know if that page still exists, but if it does, everybody should start looking at it again. That was something like 4 or 5 years ago, that's what made me write the IPv6 support for SANE.
