I've also taken over the "es" package, which also had problems in signal handling. I wanted to understand the es package before tackling the rc package [there's more issues with rc]. Unfortunately, I'm stalled on "es" because of a bug in "strace" which prevents me from properly examining the problem. I've a pending important bug report against strace [with a simple bit of example code which allows the bug to be reproduced]. My next step, if I wanted to immediately pursue this, would be to fix the bug in strace myself -- but I'm busy enough that I'm hoping someone else will do that for me. -- Raul
