Subject: libgdkxft0: position of caret is incorrect when typing anti-aliased
lines, and characters overlap
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-Mailer: bug 3.3.10.1
Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Mon, 25 Mar 2002 16:42:23 +0100
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: libgdkxft0
Version: 1.5-2
Severity: normal

When typing urls in galeon or conversating in gaim, the position of the cursor
on screen is incorrect with respect to the real position (so I end up deleting
and adding characters at the wrong position). The problem does not occur when
I'm not using an anti-aliased font.
Also, moving the cursor introduces some strange overlaps (which disappear when
I continue to type).

This package has been removed from Debian unstable: doesn't meet
build-depends, upstream not very active, breaks gtk2.
