It was not my intention segue into the constitutional discussion, I was merely looking to enumerate requirements for the voting system.
At least on debian-vote Russ and a number of people argued that we should move entirely to secret votes. Since we are acting as individuals, there's not really a need for votes to hold us accountable.
As many available e-voting platforms are not really designed for open voting, this would certainly simplify things. I take it the question is far from being settled, though.
