I'm reopening this bugs since the NEWS file is not shipped in the cups-client package: $ dpkg -s cups-client | grep Version: Version: 1.6.2-9 $ dpkg -L cups-client | grep NEWS <nothing This is presumably cause by the fact that /u/s/d/cups-client is a symlink to /u/s/d/cups-client. This also doesn't help much when browsing remote priners that aren't in client.conf but I needed to find more time to debug this further.
