I agree on the documentation part. Adding it to the release notes or the wiki 
sounds
like a reasonable idea. There is a wiki page where it could be added, see [1].

I disagree on the default setting though. Again, enabling this setting makes the
system potentially more insecure, so it should be disabled by default.
