apt-get source $package
should download you source for every package. It does not do so for
-powerpcspe patches sources. If you need those, you have to go manually to
the mirror. For instance for eglibc, got to the eglibc folder on a mirror
of your choice [0].
Any hints and notes on use of the existing port for a commercial product
are appreciated as well.
If you hate donwloading patches by hand you could fix those packages and
open bugs in BTS for them. Next time you don't have to do it by hand :)
