I reboot from time to time to OSX, but it doesn't change anything about writability to the filesystem. Ah, but just found this message in /var/log/dmesg: #v+ hfs: write access to a jounaled filesystem is not supported, use the force option at your own risk, mounting read-only. #v- I'm not really sure if I would want to turn off journaling in OSX...
