what should work is if you copy the kernel and ramdisk from the sarge cd into the mac side, putting their names into the bootx options. as told in the install manual for Sarge (but towards the end, its a bit convoluted there with woody mixed up for those who can't use bootx...) i have a beige G3 that is RevB (March1998). I am not sure but i suspect that the Rev A has more trouble to install. sometimes you can replace the ROM ... Do you know which you have (should be on the motherboard written). > > I'm now very proud to read that Debian/Linux comes > with ABSOLUTELY NO > WARRANTY... > and keep on my technical trip in order to get that > machine working > following my needs... good, too many people get something for free and right away take it for granted (even partially) > > Claude > PS : I already run Debian Sarge on a G4 AGP you could upgrade that to etch now... > > Brian > > > > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) > Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - > http://enigmail.mozdev.org > > iD8DBQFF5+iZAbIE9g/+AEcRAnr3AJ4mVM9eK8kMpd6Vm+ELmeT1u3ojLwCglrpC > c02+ZwyamJgu//miYp93ImE= > =xEFH > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > > -- > To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > with a subject of "unsubscribe".
