-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello from Brittany (France),
few words to tell you I succeed installing a Debian system on an powermac G3 oldworld. I followed Debian official documentation and the ppc list. I couldn't boot using the miboot floppies. I used BootX and Floppies (rescue.bin, driver-1.bin, driver-2.bin) found in the woody archive. As I was using the Debian official Cds for Sarge, the installer told me it couldn't get "file : /instmnt/dists/woody/Release" so I downloaded the file basedebs.tar put it in the mac side and get the system install from the hard drive. I'm now very proud to read that Debian/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY... and keep on my technical trip in order to get that machine working following my needs... Claude PS : I already run Debian Sarge on a G4 AGP -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFF5+iZAbIE9g/+AEcRAnr3AJ4mVM9eK8kMpd6Vm+ELmeT1u3ojLwCglrpC c02+ZwyamJgu//miYp93ImE= =xEFH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
