Hi all, With the arrival of mplayer in Debian, I wanted to try if it was able to play a movie (I did not manage with other programs). Unfortunately, it dit not work, for instance with the following command:
mplayer http://charles.plessy.org/picture_gallery/8.4ngn1:GFP/020207_84G_24h_tel-di_20x_anim_xy.mpg The output follows. Is it possible to watch any mpeg file on ppc ? Have a nice day, Charles mplayer: /usr/lib/libtheora.so.0: no version information available (required by mplayer) MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.2-DFSG-free (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team AltiVec found CPU: PowerPC mplayer: could not connect to socket mplayer: No such file or directory Failed to open LIRC support. It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug. -- Charles Plessy http://charles.plessy.org Wako, Saitama, Japan -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
