Hi folks, As you might know, GRUB version 2 will support powerpc in addition to ix86 systems. The next release of the grub2 package in Debian should have initial support for powerpc.
In the meantime, the latest release is available here: http://people.debian.org/~rleigh/grub-1.93.tar.gz and some documentation about setup is here: http://grub.enbug.org/TestingOnPowerPC I last tried it in December, and it booted, but was still a little flaky (it's still in development). But any issues we find with it will only go to make it better. Hopefully once it's got the same amount of polish as the i386 port, and the setup scripts are fixed up for easy installation and integration with OpenFirmware, it will be a good candidate to replace yaboot.
