Not to beat a dead horse, but I didn't say Debian was impossible to configure. (My being able to get X up and running is proof of that.) My point was that until Debian offers auto-detection of video and easy configuration of X, it would be a good idea to offer a central reference point for users seeking a configuration file that works with their system. This lists goes a long way in centralizing help for new Debian users. Ed
