I just put a new version (0.12-1) at: http://honk.physik.uni-konstanz.de/~agx/linux-ppc/debian/mouseemu/ containing your changes plus some packaging cleanups (defaults can now be set via /etc/default/mouseemu). And I fixed that minor typo:
