Thanks for the suggestion. I don't know whether it was this or the fact that I changed the run_tests configuration to disable accounting (although CONFIG_BSD_PROCESS_ACCT is enabled in the kernel, or is that unrelated?), but things seem to look much better now: http://people.debian.org/~daenzer/lsb/tjreport-powerpc-20031007 I'd also like to thank Mats D.
