Hey Stew. Na, it's got nothing to with dist-upgrade or upgrade. It works fine under 2.4.21-ben2-xfs (my current kernel). It only fails to work with 2.6.0-test5 (benh bitkeeper tree). It's a wierd one. I'm finding it difficult to locate errors because /var/log/dmesg is broken too!!! (The first time I've ever seen that in the last 5 years I've used Linux!). It can't be a new kernel thing, because I'm running 2.6.0-test4 on my K62-400. Also, I found it wierd that booting 2.6.0-test5 in single user mode, i did a depmod and it tells me QM_MODULES isn't configured. Maybe that's because my packages are old. I'll upgrade them now and check again. \LaShI -- Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (Sid) (ibook2,powerpc), kernel 2.4.21-ben2-xfs Grub first, then ideals. -- Bertolt Brecht <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ICQ: 7181075 pub 1024D/CC1F67BC 2002-06-03 Menaka Lashitha Bandara (Freedom!) <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Key fingerprint = 1874 5597 C754 5209 0A7D 4DA6 9112 5D0E CC1F 67BC
