I've build blackdown Java 1.4 for i386 with gcc 3.3 and everything seems working. > Searching in the list I understand j2re1.4 won't be packaged > for the PowerPC any soon, and that the current j2re1.3 situation is > hopeless due to C++ issues -- how braindeaded was AT&T when it could have > used Objective C or better yet functional programming!! > > So any ideas? Any solution in view? I followed the steps on http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2003/debian-devel-200306/msg01366.html It might be adapted to use ftp://ftp.easynet.be/blackdown/JDK-1.3.1/ppc/FCS-02c/j2re-1.3.1-02c-FCS-linux-ppc.bin I don't know what FCS is and with what gcc version it is compiled. Binary-only distribution _IS_ a problem :) Paul -- Student @ Eindhoven | JID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] University of Technology, The Netherlands | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >>> Using the Power of Debian GNU/Linux <<< | GnuPG: finger [EMAIL PROTECTED]
