I hope not. It would be foolish of Gentoo to use bleeding edge CVS snapshots. > I wasn't able to awake from sleep with DRI enabled and the "DRIReinit" option > on. Furthermore, I would get the following warning in my XFree86.log : > (**) Option "dpms" > (**) RADEON(0): DPMS enabled > (WW) RADEON(0): Option "DRIReinit" is not used DRI reinitialization for the radeon driver is still a patch (http://penguinppc.org/~daenzer/DRI/radeon-reinit.diff) because it wasn't accepted for integration in the current form. > However I got it working, following advice on the gentoo forums, by adding > the > "ForcePCIMode" "false" and "AGPMode" "4" options to my XF86Config-4, As others have pointed out, it must be the AGPMode (it never occurred to me that this could help for sleep because higher AGP transfer rates traditionally tended to be problematic...) because ForcePCIMode defaults to false and you can't use the UniNorth agpgart without http://penguinppc.org/~daenzer/DRI/drm-ioremapagp.diff . Are you using that? If not, that would be interesting because the AGPMode option would seem to have an effect without AGP GART actually being used. -- Earthling Michel Dänzer (MrCooper)/ Debian GNU/Linux (powerpc) developer XFree86 and DRI project member / CS student, Free Software enthusiast
