Do you mean 7200 or 7300? It's different, actually, although for X it
doesn't make a difference.

Let me explain:

The 7200 has an Apple 'platinum' graphics chip. The 7300 has an Apple
'control' graphics chip.

Both don't have native support in X. That is not a problem, however,
since they would hardly gain anything from direct support; in fact both
chips provide a simple framebuffer without any acceleration (with one
small exception, but that's not really an issue).

For both you need to use a kernel with built-in platinumfb resp.
controlf, i.e. the console driver specific to the chip. Default Debian
kernels should be OK.

Then, in X, you use the fbdev driver.
