regarding the generation of your tiBook, the modem is either a "standard" modem hooked on /dev/ttyS0 and stock driver should do the job either a "usb modem" and yoou should use the mar Bouchier driver see <URL:http://www.mbsi.ca/cnxtlindrv/> it's a binary driver with a big shell script wrapper.
