        I think that you can use LaTeX, generating a pdf file and then
        playing the pdf for your audience with xpdf. Using LaTeX is
        the best approach if your subject is Math-oriented and you
        need a good amount of formulas.

        I described the procedure I used for my Master's Qualification
        at <http://www.ime.usp.br/~rbrito/latex/>, but it is in
        Portuguese (my native language). I see that you are French.
        Perhaps you could guess what I say there, taking the command
        lines as cue points. :-)

        Unfortunately, I don't know if xpdf can currently take care of
        transitions (i.e., pauses in your document).

        In the worst possible situation, you could use your pdf inside
        MacOS with Acrobat Reader (which is able to do the transitions
        smoothly).
