Did you read the last few days of traffic? There was a thread
for ejecting floppy disks, which works for CDs.
Ahh, because I don't have a floppy, I had ignored that thread. I went back
to it and it solved the most important part of my problem. Thank you!
Well, now I can open and close my CD-ROM door under command-line
control, but it
would be convenient if I could connect the "eject" key on my keyboard to the
eject command. Ideally, the key should work at all times, and not just when
a particular application is running.
Pointers appreciated...
