onboard eth0 is working flawlessly. have used dhclient-2.2.x and pump, both without problems.
airport worked ONCE last evening. so here's the dilemma, and how i got there. purchased a linksys BEFW11S4 wireless access point/router w/4port switch. that AP connects via one of the LAN lines to my linux server which is set up as a router, and gives out dhcp to three other boxes inhouse over cat5. my ibook's airport card will not work and i'm uncertain why. the AP has a web-interface, and wireless is turned on, and i can use the airport card under osx. running sid w/2.4.19-newpmac kernel, w/ airport, orinoco, and hermes modules inserted. i've reset the access point, i've searched google. what i haven't found is some sort of guide that shows how to have the two eth's play nicely. where can i begin to look for clues? eth1, on airport worked yesterday for a moment before i went off to bed. Now, i receive: eth1: Tx error, status 1 (FID=0143) et al... when rebooting, starting up, or doing a /etc/init.d/networking start, and also if trying to use dhclient or pump. i know this is a bit convoluted of a message. if anyone has a similar setup or has conquered this, i'd love to hear it... ken __________________________________ http://llamakc.org GnuPG: 7C828670 <woot> Put *that* in you .sig and smoke it, Knghtbrd. <Culus> You know he will read this :> <woot> heheheheh. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
