It's made clear in the yaboot-HOWTO that your bootstrap partition should precede your NacOS/OSX partitions. And is it the recommended type Apple_Bootstrap? Take a look at the HOWTO's Common Mistakes, Boot Menu Options, and Recovering from Misconfiguration options. You can boot into your Linux install manually, there are several options but here's one, since I know you have the 4 starter files on the root of some partition. Get into OpenFirmware and recite the magic incantation boot hd:xx,yaboot like you did when starting the installer. When the boot: prompt comes up, instead of typing install or some such, type the OpenFirmware path to your Linux root partition's kernel, e.g. hd:8,/vmlinux. You can type help at the boot: prompt for guidance on constructing a path. -- *------v--------- Installing Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 --------v------* | <http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/installmanual> | | debian-imac (potato): <http://debian-imac.sourceforge.net> | | Chris Tillman [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | May the Source be with you | *----------------------------------------------------------------* -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
