:sigh: please read the installation docs, it says that running this
step alone is NOT enough to make the machine bootable.  you also need
to reconfigure OpenFirmware, there is a command in the documentation
that changes the boot-device variable which on some machines is
enough.

lilo is a intel only bootloader.  Oldworld powermacs use quik.
newworld powermacs use yaboot/ybin.  you have an oldworld.

read the install docs and set the boot-device variable in OF, that may
be enough, if not check the list archives for other suggestions.
