Applied, compiled, rebooted, configured, and tested. It doesn't crash now, thanks. A few things, though. Can I expect this to work in 2.4.1? I like 2.4, it has devfs and the new input layer. I'm using the fbdev driver now, but it's unaccelerated, and unusable. I think my kernel arguments are right: video=atyfb:vmode:14,cmode:32 I was told somewhere that the mclk is optional. it seems to default to 100. I tried a mclk of 71, and it was still unaccelerated. I have the 'no video driver' and stuff in bootx set up right. The reason I'm using the fbdev driver is because the ati driver fails, the relevant errors are: (EE) ATI(0): Unable to determine dimensions of panel (ID 0). (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAjpoC+kACgkQfHpI7Pnqk4VCNwCgs6UZNEuIp0u2xkzc/0JRL86t Z7MAnjsBUDjxHcuZaQvfR8wDE0Wt6wmq =n+IN -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
