iirc i came to the conclusion it was oldworld, when it boots macos OF boots /AAPL,ROM which is pure OldWorld which means yaboot won't work. there is of course quik which should in thoery work and would solve any problems booting via yaboot would solve. easiest way to tell is: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep ^pmac-generation | awk '{print $3}' but some kernels/machines don't seem to supply `pmac-generation' though all oldworlds ive looked at do (all 3 of them ;-)). -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
