I'm trying it on a StarMax 3000 and an older G3 powerbook, nogo on
either. Nothing seems to boot on the StarMax I get a no init found
error when it trys to boot linux. The 2.2.15 recommended by some has
the same problem.
On the powerbook, 2.2.17 boots fine but X crashes randomly. The
2.2.17pre20-ben1 won't boot at all. It gives me the welcome to linux
and the first 6 lines of the starup. It looks like I had not checked
"no video driver" except the video doesn't even blank out the Mac
screen, it just writes over it.

I'm still to figure out why 2.2.16+ won't boot?! I suppose it's just

(binaries posted today) also fails to boot your machine, and and which
point in boot does it stop ?
