LinuxPPC has a "faster" sever called Xpmac, I'm not sure its really all that faster, but you may want to take a look at it. You can get the rpm from linuxppc.org i think, then do a apt-get install alien; and run alien rpmname; then dpkg -i debname. Basically alien transforms rpms into debian packages. Other then that, im not aware of any accelerated drivers.
