The problem is that apparently, the organisation of the various sound
sources and ouputs depends on the machine you are running on. Also, on
some machines, the input sources are organised in two "sets" that you can
apparently switch via one of the mac-io ASIC control registers. I'm
waiting for some docs the Apple promised in order to fix some of those issues.
