I'm tweaking my DWL122 with wlanng-ctl. What happens if you do:

$ wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_ifstate ifstate=enable

and then

$ wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_autojoin ssid={YOURID} authtype=opensystem

and then try running the dhclient?
