Hi, I have now updated the README docs with a slightly cleaner work-flow. I would like to get a show of hands from the policy team about this; and if people are OK with this approach (using org-mode, with perhaps me committing to maintaining these documents in the team), or abandoning this approach and going to plain old HTML/docbook.
Personally, I think that the .org files are easier to edit, even for people who are unfamiliar with org-mode, and are mroe readable than SGML based documents, and thus would have higher utility, but I'll abide with what the rest of the team thinks. manoj Manoj Srivastava (4): [bug545548-srivasta]: Add Documentation [bug545548-srivasta]: Make upgradng-checklist a real HTML file [bug545548-srivasta]: Arrange to regenerate derived files from org source [bug545548-srivasta]: Use a less confusing merge work-flow in the README .gitignore | 1 - Makefile | 11 + Process.html | 423 ++++ Process.org | 205 ++ Process.txt | 216 ++ README-css.el | 81 + README.html | 691 ++++++ README.org | 359 +++ README.txt | 346 +++ debian/rules | 27 +- upgrading-checklist.html | 2373 ++++++++++++++------ upgrading-checklist.org | 798 +++++++ ...ading-checklist.html => upgrading-checklist.txt | 187 +- 13 files changed, 4950 insertions(+), 768 deletions(-) create mode 100644 Process.html create mode 100644 Process.org create mode 100644 Process.txt create mode 100644 README-css.el create mode 100644 README.html create mode 100644 README.org create mode 100644 README.txt create mode 100644 upgrading-checklist.org copy upgrading-checklist.html => upgrading-checklist.txt (87%) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-policy-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
