Sounds good. I suppose Santiago'll also be uploading a base-files without /usr/doc, if he hasn't already. Anyway, I'd thought we were considering removing all the symlinks in one shot rather than waiting for every package to be updated. Indeed, Manoj's message to the tech ctte said: ] We create the postinst, prerm now, installing the symlink, Once ] the move is over, we just have a prerm script removing the ] symlink. another release, (potato+2), we stop bothering, since we ] would have handled the most common case (and provide an base-files ] postinst script removing the symlinks for upgrades at that point). Of course, this script's lack of existance atm is no reason not to upload a new debhelper, etc. The only thing that could cause problems is packages that still use /usr/doc, which has been considered a RC bug for quite a while already, and hand written prerms that are broken and fail if their symlink isn't present. I don't think that's a showstopper, personally. Cheers, aj -- Anthony Towns <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <http://azure.humbug.org.au/~aj/> I don't speak for anyone save myself.
