So sendmail defaults to using "+" (and in an IMHO only half-implemented  
way - why am I not surprised?). So?

Exim can use anything at all, both at the end and in front of the original  
name.

My current setup just delivers everything to me, and I pick whatever I  
happen to like. Guess what? I picked "-" before I even heard of any other  
program doing this (the first I found out about was qmail, but by then I'd  
been using this scheme for something like a year).
