Why do you rename an ITP to RFS? Please file a separate bug. > We try to include Compiz again in Debian, from the Knoppix alioth > project. Wouldn't it be easier to start directly from Ubuntu packages instead of outdated Knoppix ones? > FYI,alioth project: https://alioth.debian.org/projects/compiz > > git address to pull: > git+ssh://alioth_u...@git.debian.org/git/pkg-a11y/compiz.git I'm afraid it doesn't even build in unstable, for a number of reasons. Some of these look as if you ever tried to compile it only within some old environment. A few random other things I noticed: * please build-depend on libjpeg-dev rather than libjpeg8-dev, while the latter exists in unstable we really don't want anything to depend on it in stretch * please build-depend on libpng-dev first (or solely) * all those transitional packages are pointless as those from oldoldstable compiz can't possibly be installed on a system ever upgraded to jessie I didn't look any closer.
