Hi, I am (still) looking for a long-term sponsor for "axel" (v1.0b-7). I have had an offer for help since my last request [1] over a month ago, but haven't heard back in over two weeks. the following changes [2] have been made to the package:
[1] http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2007/11/msg00208.html [2] http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/collab-maint/ext-maint/axel/unstable/?op=log - Use debhelper for packaging - Bump up Standards-Version to 3.7.3 - There are no changes outside the debian directory now (all patches are in debian/patches) - Patch to make axel-kapt use x-terminal-emulator instead of a hardcoded terminal program - Patch to fix lintian warnings on axel-kapt Desktop file (and make sure that it passes desktop-file-validate). - Use simple kaptain pop-ups for the Help and Bug Report (earlier it would try to invoke kmail). - Hermann J. Beckers was kind enough to update his earlier de.po file. I've included that in the package. - All the lintian informational messages are also fixed. That apart, v1.0b-4 has fixes for multiple important bugs. Thanks to kmap, mario for comments earlier, further comments are welcome :-). I would be glad if someone can sponsor an upload.
