Actually, if perl gets upgraded before the new library is installed, and something else being upgraded... say the c++ libs, needs perl for its postinstall script, you get this error. Or at least this happened last time I upgraded a few hundred packages :) Version: 5.6.0-21 Depends: perl-base (= 5.6.0-21), perl-modules (= 5.6.0-21), libc6 (>= 2.2.1-2), libdb2, libgdbmg1 Source: glibc Version: 2.2.2-4 I've got the feeling perl isn't doing the libdeps right.
