I am trying to set up a PC running Debian GNU/Linux to run mailing lists using majordome. The server's name is ggins.derby.ac.uk .
I can successfully telnet, and FTP to this machine, and it can telnet and FTP out again. I have also installed majordomo, and the config-test of this seems to work. However, when I attempt to email either [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR [EMAIL PROTECTED] the mail bounces back with the following message. ----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to ggins.derby.ac.uk.: >>> RCPT To:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <<< 551 '<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>' <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> not matched: (ERR_104) security violation: remote address not permitted. 550 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... Any help would be greatly appreciated - I am pretty much a complete newbie with Linux, although I have fiddled around with Suns a bit. Thanks in advance for any assistance. =========================================================================== Jeremy Miles [EMAIL PROTECTED] Phone: 01332 622222 x2146 Fax: 01332 622287 Mobile: 07971 218172 Inst. of Behavioural Sciences, Derby University, Derby, DE3 5GX, UK =Join Team Allegro: http://rc5stats.distributed.net/tmsummary.idc?TM=4582 =
