Hi Andreas and Olivier,

the "htslib" that I have packaged is the successor of the "libbam". It brings
in dynamic linking, which will make our work easier. However, I do not know to
what extent it is a drop-in replacement.

The problem that I realise now is that if I update samtools to version 0.2,
based on the htslib, the libbam will disappear.

For package carrying their convenience copy, this copy solves the problem even
if it is not the preferred solution.

For other packages, we may have to introduce a libbam-legacy package if their
developers do not pick the htslib quickly enough.

Have a nice day,
