Hello , I'm writing to you on behalf of Debian Med, an internal team of the Debian GNU/Linux distribution which tries to make Debian prepared best for use in medicine and biology. I created a Debian package of seq-gen which is now included in official Debian but finally I realized that seq-gen contains non-free code from PAML [0],[1] package and because of that can't be redistributed within official Debian repository .
Would it be possible to change the seq-gen such a way that it will contain only free code licensed under BSD or any other free license ? Best regards and thank you for the great software .
