Weeeell, first of all Debian Med is *Debian* Med, IMO, or else it'd be named differently. It's born of Debian, it's using Debian infrastructure, it's building upon Debian, etc. But it's really great that the Debian packages are so excellent as to require little work to be suitable for Ubuntu. And that's a good thing.
