I had the same message, fixed it by adding the / to the default of the
default...

Actually, no, I had a very similar but different message.

       --mirror-debian-installer URL
sets the location of the mirror that will be used
to fetch the debian installer images of the
derivative. By default, this points to the same mirror used
to build the live system, i.e. the value
           of --mirror-bootstrap.

So that one only goes one default deep.

I _think_ that mine was complaining about

       --mirror-chroot-volatile URL
sets the location of the debian volatile package mirror
that will be used to fetch packages of the
derivative in order to build the live system. By
default, this is set to the value of
           --mirror-chroot.

And

       --mirror-chroot URL
sets the location of the debian package mirror that will
be used to fetch the packages of the
derivative in order to build the live system. By
default, this is set to the value of
           --mirror-bootstrap.

So the fix was to append a / to mirror-bootstrap.

But there is something odd going on, as it only complained about
mirror-chroot-volatile not mirror-bootstrap or mirror-chroot.
