That sound like an error. We had the issue early in the trixie release, but that has been fixed by 82788ada2346903345a901045a00c544e095c93c

IIRC you have a fork of live-build. Please cherry-pick at least this commit. Or alternatively, use the version of live-build from git.

Is this in some way related to the switch to deb822 and apt now using
.sources files instead?

There is a MR prepared:
https://salsa.debian.org/live-team/live-build/-/merge_requests/436

But there are some issues with it.

In any case, there isn't a debian.sources entry either, so after
installing the ISO there is no way to install extra packages from the
Debian repositories without manually updating
/etc/apt/sources.list[.d]

Config: https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc-live-build/tree/trixie
ISO: linuxcnc_2.9.8-amd64.hybrid.iso

I have tried manually adding a debian.sources file in config/archives
but it is going to take some time to test if that has worked.

I think the best way forward would be to make MR436 work properly, then all can benefit.

With kind regards,
Roland Clobus
