With live-build, you can specify which archive areas you would like to use:

Per the documentation, this just needs to be configured during the 'config' 
stage.

Thanks for the reply. Can't do it with live-build, as apparently it can
pull packages only from main. Nonfree firmware, of course, is in nonfree.

The ISO there is exactly the same as the one at live.debian.org, and does
not include the nonfree firmware, even though it says it does.
