I doubt it. There are so few dependencies of live-build. Most things happen inside the chroot which is populated from a debootstrap, and that hasn't changed at all recently. It's more likely you had a temporary problem with the archive mirror you were building against. As I said, the full log would've had details that would tell us more conclusively. Otherwise, I don't care to speculate further. CCing the bug in my reply, as your own failure to reproduce the bug is important information about the status of the bug.
