Right. Well, this *may* be fixed in git. I'm not certain about this and haven't yet produced a working usb-hdd wheezy image out of git so it's hard for me to tell. We should just keep this bug on the books, then, until we're certain it is taken care of. I've running out of available time to test for the moment and will get back to this when I can.
