Hi There ! In the beginning I´d like to say: Great work made with "Debian live" i really like it !
Since about 2 weeks i try to set up a USB-Stick live debian which meets my needs. So far i build a encyrpted Lenny system. (Because i need encryption i cant use Debian 6.0) Id try to use persistence. For this case i use an 2GB USB-Stick. The first partition (sdb1) ist the DEBIAN_LIVE one. The second (sdb2) ist an ext2 filesystem named live-rw. (i also tried it to be ext3 and fat16) When i try to boot the Live-System persistent i get a lot of error messages. The system tries to mount two ext3-Partitions of the internal Harddisk (sda2 & sda3). After a couple of tries the boot process stops, and i end up in the busybox, telling me it can´t mount the Harddisk partion for the use als live-rw . (which i really don´t what.) (If i dont use the persistent option i got the same error messages, about the unmountable ext3 partitions on the internal HD, but the system starts) Id like to have the USB-Stick (sdb2) used as persistent partition. But i have no clue how to manage this. I tried to figure out, how to stop the live-stick from automounting the internal Harddisk. But i found no clue. (In the end i´d like to have the live-rw partition on the USB crypted, but that will be the next step, when everything else runs smooth.) Please could someone help me ?
