Hmm, I would argue that it's the FSF's raison d'être, but Debian's
purpose does not always coincide with that of the FSF.

One could make the same argument about the Magna Carta, the Declaration
of Independence, the works of Rousseau, or the Copyright Act of 1976.
But Debian's archive is not a repository for documents of historical
interest.
