No.  From the GPL:

    Exception: if the Program itself is interactive but does not normally
    print such an announcement, your work based on the Program is not
    required to print an announcement.

So the license for an editor can require that every file edited with it
contain a special blurb?  I don't think so.

Whether or not this would help depends on exactly how these tournaments are
